The fountain on the left is called the Queen Victoria Fountain. The Dutch built this a long time ago and it is still working perfectly. My brother loved it because you would get to get wet, and it was so hot and humid.
The portuguese left many red buildings and that is why the chunch is red.
The church that I am standing in front of is 257 years old!!!! It was built in 1753.
When the Dutch took over Melaka from the hand of the Portuguese, they built several buildings for their own purposes. This church was built as a place of worship as they did not have any church for themselves apart from the small chapel built by Portuguese on St. Paul Hill. Like St. Paul Church, that church is one of the most attractive heritage in Melaka, that has gone through several changes.
