In the sundry stall you can almost get anything! Like- nail clippers, bolts, screws, nail polish, pencils, pens, lip gloss, gum, tissues, scissors, markers, bags, crayons, necklaces, watches...



It is amazing :)

Penang fresh morning market.

Can you guess where this fresh market is? :)



This fresh market is really in one of the many alleys of Penang! They do not just call it a fresh market for nothing. All of the things are fresh even the fish are fresh! The market is very long, people come from all over Penang come to sell things.

Here, there are all sorts of vegetables being sold. Can you guess which vegetable is which - there are bitter gourd, lady fingers, spinach, kangkung, cabbage, water chesnuts, choy sum, siew pak choy.

Snack - Peanut apam

The stall that I am standing next to is called a peanut apam stand. The peanut apam shell feels like the outside of a waffle, but inside there is wonderfully roasted peanuts that have been chopped and mixed with sugar. He is usually sold out by around 2pm. He starts selling at around 7am.

Penang chow kueh teow

The meal that I am eating, is for all occasions. You can have it for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper / night snack - anytime you are a little bit hungry. Chow Kueh Teow is in Cantonese. Chow means fried, and Kueh Teow is the type of noddles that they use. All of the plates are usually lined with a banana leaf. The dish contains kerang ( type of shell fish ), taugeh ( bean sprouts ), prawns and the eggs that are fried into the dish. I had my dish not spicy but, other people can have it spicy.

Never A Snowy Day

I observed on our way that there were so many hills, mountains, palm trees, rubber trees, and all different types of trees.

All of the trees that I saw were so green because, Malaysia has so much rain and sun light all year round. I feel very hot and humid because of the rainfall.

We left Kuala Lumpur at 6:30am from Petaling Jaya. We got into Ipoh around 9 in the morning just in time for breakfast. The restaurant that we went to was very crowded because all of the people LOVED their Dim Sum. Dim Sum is breakfast served in tiny portions. Each serving usually has 2 to 3 of that portion.
